The Everything & Nothing Bagel is a multi-sensory designed experience.
I worked with a small, cross-disciplinary team of designers to create a bagel that tells a story through its flavors, texture, presentation, and packaging, all of which contribute to the unique eating experience of our product.
As the Graphic Designer of the team, I was largely in charge of the packaging design and the sharable recipe card.

Our Story:
The Everything & Nothing Bagel is about finding balance in life. Sweet & savory, light & dark, past & future, comfortable & foreign, push & pull, and even the concepts of East and West are combined and contrasted in the two flavors. The flavor of the bagel is neutral, allowing you to choose which schmear, light & savory or dark & sweet, you wish to put on the bagel, much as you choose what to make of events in your life.

Early color tests:
While color was always one of our biggest focuses, I first developed the hidden "bagel within a bagel."

The sharable recipe card is a hexagon card that fits perfectly into the bagel box. The outside matches the mysterious exterior of the bagel, while the inside reveals an unexpected burst of color with shapes and hues reminiscent of the ingredients and flavors found in the schmears.
A simple animation that shows you how to form the "bagel within a bagel." It plays when you scan the inner right page of the recipe card with an AR app on your phone.
It was drawn in Procreate and edited together with Adobe AfterEffects.
