Song of Lyrinn is an imagined movie based on a comic series I created. The central figure, Lyrinn, is helped and hindered by various characters such as the Evil Queen and a mysterious figure.
The names at the bottom all being variations of my name is a playful little nod to the fact that I photographed myself as each of the characters. Costumes, lighting, and makeup transformed the tone of each character to make them come alive. For example, the Evil Queen wears dramatic eyeliner and lounges above all others, and while Lyrinn walks alone through the dark, she is illuminated by her hope in a brighter future.
The subtle overlay of sheet music ties back to the title, but also to times when people primarily passed stories along through song and poem.
